A Strength Training Program
For Women Who Want To

Start Lifting Weights & Feel Stronger Than Ever

A 12 week, step-by-step program for beginner lifters working out at home or the gym

You’re here because you want to feel strong

You might also be:

  • Overwhelmed and confused on where or how to start

  • A little intimidated by weightlifting and/or personal trainers

  • Frustrated with fitness classes, random online workouts, or the do-it-yourself approach because they haven’t gotten you anywhere (or intense workouts and challenges that aren’t sustainable)

  • Tired of the ‘skinny’ and looks-obsessed narrative and just want to focus on strength

  • Unsure if you can really do it

If any of these sound familiar, keep reading.

You’re ready to feel stronger.

Maybe you’ve tried other fitness or strength programs before, attended group classes at the gym, or pieced together your own program with things you’ve found online.

None of those approaches are “bad”...it’s just that they’re usually not the most effective or efficient use of your time.

And for beginners, knowing where in the world to start with a real strength training program can be overwhelming.

To complicate matters more, you can be hard pressed to find a strength training program for women that’s only focused on getting you as strong as possible, rather than on external things like weight or appearance.

I’ve got good news.

Things are about to change.

Hi, I’m Mark

I’ve been training women lifters for 7 years, working with hundreds in one-on-one coaching and reaching thousands more through online content.

And like a lot of people, my own personal journey with strength training started with the goal of improving my physical appearance.

Something unexpected happened though.

When I started noticeably putting on muscle and “looking better,” it didn’t give me the confidence or fulfillment I thought it would.

Actually, when my goals centered around my appearance, all it did was put me in the comparison trap with other people in the gym, and of course, all those fitness influencers parading their bodies on social media.

I’ve noticed the same thing with the women I’ve worked with over the years.

When the emphasis is on getting as strong as possible rather than weight loss and/or aesthetics, the reward is so much greater. My clients love their training for what it does for them in and out of the gym. They see that they’re so much more capable than they thought they were.

My own experience combined with that of my clients inspired my completely weight-neutral approach to strength training.

It’s not about the number on the scale or how your body looks. It’s about being and feeling strong so you can feel as good as possible all around.

Seeing how much of a badass you can be in the gym (or if you work out at home) helps bring out the badass in all areas of your life.

It’s about finding out how capable you truly are.

what if you could:

  • Go about your daily life with more ease and energy

  • Feel more confident and improve your-self esteem

  • Crush your strength goals without spending hours working out

  • Feel accomplished and capable

  • Prioritize yourself and your goals

With the right program to follow, you can get so much stronger (and more quickly) than you think — and watch it carry over into other areas of your life

+When does it start?

You’ll get instant access to your program as soon as your purchase is complete. Your entire 12 week lifting program will be at your fingertips, ready for you to begin!

+Can you guarantee I’ll get stronger by purchasing this program?

If you complete the program as written, yes, you will get stronger. Over and over again, my clients are amazed at how strong they can get even in just a few weeks, even if they are literally brand new to strength training.

Of course, I cannot guarantee any specific results like how much weight you’ll be able to lift on any given movement, since that varies from person to person.

+What if I don’t have any strength training/weight lifting experience?

Then you’re in the right place. This program is designed for beginners, even if you’ve never picked up a dumbbell or barbell in your life.

It’s split into three phases to ensure you set a good foundation, learn proper and safe form, and get comfortable with lifting heavier. If you follow the program as written, you’ll see noticeable progress and strength quickly.

+What if I miss a workout (or two)?

Missing a workout here and there is fine, and to be expected especially when you have a busy life and other responsibilities like work, family, hobbies, etc. This program is designed for three workouts per week, so you may be able to complete your missed workout on a different day. If that’s not possible for whatever reason, don’t worry. Your strength isn’t built from just a few workouts, and likewise, your strength won’t be lost by missing some either.

+I'm already strapped for time. What if I don’t know how much time I’ll be able to commit to doing the workouts?

First, you should know that getting stronger happens over time, with consistent effort. At the same time, your individual workouts don’t need to be very long for you to see noticeable progress.

The workouts in this program are set for three days a week, and will take about 30-40 minutes each. There is an at-home option as well as a gym option to fit your schedule and lifestyle.

Part of getting stronger and feeling your best is prioritizing this time for yourself. You might have a lot of other responsibilities in your life and things competing for your time, and that’s understandable. This program is designed to take as little time as possible while still delivering the progress and results you want.

+Will I have to do weigh-ins or send pictures of myself?

No. The Beginner to Badass Lifter program is strictly focused on strength training, not weight loss or aesthetics (how you look).

Actually, my entire approach to training, whether through this program or my private clients, is completely weight-neutral. I know that’s not the norm in this industry!

I find that it allows people to zero in on their goals of getting stronger and feeling more confident and capable in all areas of their lives, without the added and unnecessary pressure of their weight or appearance. I’ve also received feedback that a weight-neutral approach is particularly beneficial for people who have a background with disordered eating and/or negative body image.

+How is this different from classes like bootcamps, Orangetheory, and CrossFit, or workouts I can find on YouTube?

While you can get a good sweat going and get your heart rate up from any of the above, the difference is that this program is focused on true strength training.

Think about the nature of gym classes or YouTube or Instagram/TikTok workouts: in order to keep the audience engaged (you could even say entertained), there has to be a lot of variety, new workouts, novel movements, etc. These workouts are much more generalized because they cater to a wide range of people, and they have to change a lot to keep people’s attention.

+The problem is, that’s not how real strength training works.

In true strength training, the goal is progression. This happens when you focus on mastering a skill set and gradually increasing the weight and/or reps over time. Progression is much less likely to happen if there’s constant change or too much variety.

For example, if you wanted to get really good at piano, you wouldn’t work on it for a week or so, then move on to guitar, then to drums, and so on. You’d stick with piano and hone that skill set over time.

Beginner to Badass Lifter isn’t a social media workout or a random fun class at the gym. You’ll get an expertly and deliberately designed program that’s focused on significantly increasing your strength through the fundamental principles of strength training/weightlifting.

+What if I feel like I’m too old to start strength training?

You’re never too old. Gaining strength is for everyone, regardless of age. I’ve worked with clients well into their 60s who are accomplishing pretty impressive things with their strength. For example, one of my clients deadlifted 209 lbs on her 65th birthday! Following an expertly designed program is important at any age or experience level, and that’s exactly what you’ll get with Beginner to Badass Lifter.

+I can’t decide between the at-home version or the gym version of this program. Any advice?

Both versions of the program are designed to get you strong and feeling great about your progress no matter where you work out.

For the home program, you’ll need some equipment. I recommend having dumbbells in a variety of weights (or ideally, a set of adjustable dumbbells that go to 50 lbs each), a red resistance band, and either a flat bench or something that can function as a bench (like a coffee table, chair, or even your couch). This equipment is not included in the price of the program, and the cost for everything I mentioned above is somewhere around $200-400, depending on where you purchase.

For the gym program, you’ll need access to a gym that ideally has barbells along with the standard gym equipment like weight machines and dumbbells. Some large commercial gyms like Planet Fitness don’t have barbells. While you can still see significant progress without access to a barbell, you’ll have better results with one.

Alternatively, you have the option of purchasing both programs, with the second at half price. Just click any of the purchase buttons on this page and you can easily add the other.

+What’s your refund policy?

Upon purchase, you’ll receive instant access to the entire program, which I’ve built from years of experience and continuing strength and fitness education. As such, I do not offer refunds.

+I have a different question that’s not answered here.
